I haven't watched the ep and doubt that I will be doing so. From what I understand from people who DID watch, Bamon exchanged not so much as a glance at Lily's party where they were both in attendance. Instead, Bonnie helped Enzo by pretending to be his date and attempting to make Lily jealous. Ohhhh kayyyyyy. Caroline turned out to be impregnated with Alaric and Jo's twins w/o her consent or knowledge. Also, Caroline's mystery future fiance is Alaric. WHAT TWILIGHT ZONE BS IS THIS? ? I just can't with this show.

I also haven't watched yet. I'm still debating if I'm going to. If I do I'll probably fast-forward a bunch of crap. I'm so pissed about the Caroline thing. After everything she went thru with Damon in season 1 this is what you turned around and do. You are using her body without her consent. I just don't understand how the writers thought this was ok to do with their viewership being mostly women and teenage girls.

I just don't understand how the writers thought this was ok to do with their viewership being mostly women and teenage girls. That's my main issue with it as well. This is a supernatural show. You mean to tell me that no one could figure a way to write it so Caroline agreed to carry and bear these children? For a show that claims to be "feminist", the writers obviously have serious issues with women and consent, or just consent across-the-board. They also seemed to be diluting Bonnie's personality to make her more pliable for Bonenzo and I'm not here for that. It wasn't cool with Elena and it's not cool with Bonnie. Not allowing her to even mention Enzo's part in Caroline's kidnapping to him in conversation makes their interaction very OOC imo, and if the writers want me to take B/E seriously, changing who Bonnie is at heart is not the way to do it.

^^ it's sad that they have to do that to make that pairing happen. Plus I do think that for the time being she seems more into him than him in her. Hope it won' t be just a rebound thing for him because it really looks like it.....

Hope it won' t be just a rebound thing for him because it really looks like it..... It IS sad, but that speaks to lack of talent in the writing, which really should come as a surprise to no one at all. I'm not here for her throwing herself at Enzo, while he's clearly smitten with Lily. I'm not here for her throwing herself at ANYONE. Why is she always written to be at a disadvantage? Whether it's in love or in friendship, or even in battle, she's consistently written as weak. We're in season 7, for goodness sake--it's well past time for better writing for her. If certain people on the writing staff have a problem writing for her character, then they need to let the people who don't have that problem do Bonnie's writing.
