Discuss tonight's episode, Hell Is Other People. How was it? What was your favorite scene?

This was amazing episode. First one in a long time that I completely liked. Finally we are seeing some character development with Damon. There was some subtext that gave me hope for Bamon. I'm going to be rewatching this episode

I watched this episode like 6 times and still love it. I want more of the core cast interacting and I want more character driven plots. Like for all of them, give it to me. But they probably will go back to separating the core four for no reason. Sigh
But let me keep up the positive energy LOL. This episode was all about Damon and why he does the things he does. And an acknowledgement that he knows he's using his loved one's as an excuse, particularly Elena. So I honestly feel like this was the confirmation we all needed that Damon doesn't need someone to help him be better. He knows how and he knows exactly what he's doing (cough cough Bonnie would agree with me here since she's never enabled his crap).
Anyway I think it's important to remember the negative aspects of this episode is how Damon sees himself and how he thinks others see him. He's cruel and Bonnie is secretly afraid he'll hurt her, and Care Matt and Ric don't care to fret over him. All he has when he wakes up is Bonnie but she's not really there because she chose him, she's just scared of what he'll do. I'm wondering if we'll ever see him talk about how alone he feels.
Oh one more thing that Damon and Caroline scene is still so glaring to me. I'm trying to figure out if it there to point out Bonnie choosing him first and possibly having feelings for him (I'm not sure Caroline's explanation supports this???) OR just to emphasize that everyone still thinks he would hurt Bonnie for Elena. They all believe he's selfish and thinks of Bonnie as nothing more than an obstacle. He didn't even get to react, it's like it was just there to say hey your friends are only kind of your friends. Bonnie doesn't really trust you. Also since it's one of the few one on one conversations he has that's not weird and cryptic. Caroline in his hell is perfectly in character (unlike Bonnie and Stefan who happen to be the two people he cares for the most). IDK such a normal conversation in a sea of bizarro conversations. What do you guys think? Am I overthinking it?

What do you guys think? Am I overthinking it? I've read different opinions on the Damon and Care scene. Some think it's Care saying Bonnie has feelings but I don't agree. I personally think it 's saying that he would hurt Bonnie to get Elena back. The convo took place in his hell, Bonnie having feelings for him wouldn't be hell, it would be heaven. lol. Stefan and Bonnie are extremely important to him so their trust in him means the most. I think it would be hell if those two people didn't trust him.
