Guys I have a theory, they've ushe flash forwards are actually Bonnie having some sort of premonitions or something? Idk they flash forwards just seem so out of character for all of them, which is why I'm like.... trying to come up with a reason. Not that much faith in the writers lol but it is an interesting theory. Considering how weak they've made Bonnie even with Tessa's magic it's a long shot. I honestly think something that powerful could only happen if she starts using Expression in combination with her existing magic.

So, I have a feeling we are going to be going to each character's flash forwards while also catching is up on the events that lead to these futures. I honestly don't think this is the end for steroline, I know some people were freaking out over that but I think that we will get caught up to this 3 year time jump maybe around the middle of the show and continue from there so Caroline being engaged doesn't mean it's endgame.
Aside from Caroline continuing her role as princess peach number two in this fictional universe (seriously how many times has Caroline been kidnapped and tortured throughout the entire show? Makes you glad Elena is getting a break from the role of princess peach number 1 because two damsels are even worse.) I really enjoyed this episode. My favorite part of this episode might be surprising since I love when Bamon even breathes the same air and my favorite part has nothing to do with Bamon. I loved that Bonnie is getting back in to her magic! It's been so long! I was so happy she got her powers back last season, and I hope that she keeps them! Of course the Bamon phone call was great. Once again Damon will not let Bonnie blame herself for things! Can we discuss how much character growth Damon has had for this to happen? Damon, who was a professional at blaming the wrong people for, well, nearly everything is now on the right track... (Maybe it's because he has Bonnie in his side now? It can't be coincidence that after finally getting her approval of him, which for some reason he has wanted since season 1) after she has hope for him, he has this tremendous amount of character growth. All he needed was someone to have a little faith in him (which I plan to discuss more when I post in the character section ) Oh ric, you are really scaring me with this zombie making stone. All in all this was a great episode leaving me wanting to know even more! Can't wait for episode.

I read a review by the AVI(or whatever) Club and I kinda agreed that the episode felt familiar but not in a good way (sorry Brian). Maybe its the fact that keeping Elena so wrapped in the storyline is stopping the story from moving forward. Jesus how many times can one girl be kidnapped, we get it...story of her life. The Heretics are just not scary to me, especially with this whole "we are family" bull crap. I rather see conflict between them and their leader lily. I want them rebellious and fucking shit up. But I guess that's the old school vampire fan in me, I mean Vampires can be loyal but also cunning and conniving at the same time. Give me some hidden agendas TVD. I fee like this show only knows how to write a specific type of villain? The female Heretics remind me of Rebekah with Lily reminding me of Katerina. The reason BTVS and ATS did so well was that their villains were unique and fresh. They had their own flavours. Whereas this show keeps introducing great concepts that they have to dumb down if they want to keep them around. That's why they're not scary or anything. Just dull and boring and something we have seen before.
I actually think the Originals do a better job of raising the stakes without having to "dumb down" their characters. They have to by the very nature of their mains being damn near indestructible!
I agree with the comment about Beau. There's no reason he needed to be mute outside of the show just not wanting too much black folk to be talking at the same time. They have to see that that is a major problem?
The Elena mentions felt a bit too much in 7x02 though I was cheering when Lily said she wanted to dump her in the falls. I was like yassssss do ittttt lol

I'm looking forward into seeing who the real big bad will be that Damon and Bonnie have to face. There was a spoiler way back before the show aired, during the hiatus that mentioned that Lilly and the Heretics were not the seasons big bad, that this person would at some point put in an appearance. There are supposed to be two male characters that have not put in an appearance yet, I only recall the name of one of them, and it was Julian. So it looks like Damon and Bonnie have someone even worse then Lilly and the Heretics to deal with. Remember, I stated that the REAL big bad of this season had yet to put in an appearance and there were still two more new characters that where spoilered, but I remembered only the name of one, and it was Julian. When it looks like he is someone connected to Lilly and Valerie.
